Danic Technology. Inc. has a saying that we often use in our change management discussions. It is a philosophy that is ingrained in our efforts to help agencies make the transition from paper or scattered database systems to comprehensive and streamlined systems. “Change is change. It never feels good. The trick is to do it enough so that it is no longer change.” Change Management is a process, the value of which cannot be underestimated. It is important to the successful implementation of any project, particularly one that requires users to change the way in which they work. This is an issue to be managed and revisited throughout the implementation process. Issues involved in the change management process may include:
There is often a desire within the organization to move “full force ahead” with a project in an effort to make the system as useful as possible to as many as possible in a short amount of time. Taking a slower route may mean increased labor up front, but more positive results down the road. Our goal is to revisit any organization six months from the “live” date and hear them say, ”I don’t know how we ever worked without Danic Tools.” Time spent on change management is time well spent. It leads to more effective systems and more productive employees. |
