This product allows the user to engage in the advanced configuration of Danic Tools without need to access source code. It provides access to the underlying architecture of the Danic Tools program.

The Developer Edition is used to create the “Model Database” that reflects the unique business rules of each client organization. This database can reside either locally on each computer or on a SQL Server. It provides the user with the organization’s custom rules, security, actions, calculations, forms and reports. Unlike most database applications, DANIC customizations are not “hard-coded” in the application itself, rather, they are stored as “data” in the “Model Database”. The “Model Database” can be an MS-Access 2000 or SQL database.

All Danic Tools Version 2.2 databases are configured with this product. When a client organization first purchases Danic Tools, Danic staff use the Developer Edition to model the organization’s business processes. This is completed during the consultation and implementation of Danic Tools Version 2.2. Larger client organizations may choose to purchase the Developer Edition if the organization wishes to have more control over their database, and if they have the technical staff to accommodate the programming and maintenance required. The Developer Edition allows an organization to manage future development and support in-house.
