Danic Technology, Inc. announces collaboration with The Arc U.S.

Danic Technology, Inc. announced today that the Company has agreed to work with The Arc of the United States to bring the power of Danic Tools to Arc members. The national office of the Arc, as part of its concerted effort to bring increasing value to its members, has elected to endorse Danic Tools to its 1,000 state and local chapters and affiliates nationwide.

The Arc has identified Danic Tools as an exceptional software package that can help agencies better support persons with developmental disabilities. The software is built to address the critical challenges that agencies serving people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities now face in accommodating consumer choice, in competing in the era of capitated funding and HIPAA, in meeting the rising demands of public developmental disabilities authorities for performance data, and in coping with record staff shortages.

Danic Technology, Inc. appreciates the efforts of The Arc of the United States to improve the quality of the lives of children and adults with mental retardation and their families through education, research and advocacy. The Company agrees with the positions of The Arc related to rights, treatment, services and programs for children and adults with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities and their families. Danic Technology, Inc. welcomes the opportunity to put Danic Tools to work for Arc affiliates and to support the work of The Arc of the United States through a 15% software discount to members and the sponsorship of Arc events.

Danic Technology Inc. is a privately held company founded in 1994. Canadian operations are based in Ottawa, Ontario; U.S. operations, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The company provides software, "Danic Tools", and related implementation and support services.

The Danic Tools software package is a fully customizable, 32-bit application. This person-centered, object-relational, database management system (ORDMS) is designed to support affordable, integrated, enterprise systems for health and human service agencies. Danic's object-oriented structure is built to integrate easily with other databases and applications in order to render the most comprehensive solution for human service agencies on the market today. A windows-based, web-enabled product, Danic Tools runs on a PC network, over the internet, or through Danic's web-based, data farm service.

The hallmark of Danic Tools is the ease with which it can be configured and reconfigured to fit the particular and changing needs of virtually any agency. It has been implemented in organizations providing services in the areas of developmental disabilities, mental health, child and family services, juvenile justice, employee assistance programs (EAP), and more. It is most commonly used for client management purposes, but is increasingly being used for human resources, fund raising and other agency purposes. Thanks to Danic's elegant meta-model, database and interface configurations can be modified without changing the source code; agencies are thus able to reconfigure the system themselves without vendor help.
