Facility

Until now, all of the objects we have discussed are related in some way to people. To be a complete solution you will likely need software that will allow you to identify, schedule and associate activity with particular places and things. To assist you with this, Danic Tools includes the object "Facility".

A Facility is any place or thing you use in your organization that has a scheduling requirement. Places might include boardrooms, counseling rooms and/or shared offices. Things might include vehicles or audio-visual equipment that must be scheduled.

Whenever you make an appointment or contact in Danic Tools you have the opportunity to include a Facility as one of the "participants" in the activity. For instance you may want to schedule a group therapy session for next Tuesday evening. In addition to scheduling all of the people you may schedule the facility in which the therapy session will be held. You have the option of automatically rendering that facility unavailable to others if they try to book that facility for the same time slot.

By definition - a facility is an object that has a scheduling function.
