Version 2.2 Build 0011 Updates and Enhancements April 22, 2003 !!!!!!!!! YOU MUST APPLY DBFIXES WITH THIS BUILD!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! An action step command has been removed please see item 16 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. Workshop Module - Updated A new function has been added to the workshop module Called Export to Payroll. Please Contact technical support on help with setting up this option. 2. Person Search - Updated Dated Choice questions are now included on the Person class in criteria and columns, you can only search by answer not date range. Date Criteria - The null check box on date criteria is now an OR criteria with the to date field. 3. Organization - Question Groups on the Facts Tab - Updated - Question groups can now be associated with Organization types, and will appear on the fact tab of any organization of that type. - Question groups associated with parent organizations no longer appear on the facts tab of organizations only on the facts tabs of people associated with those organizations. 4. Actions - Bug Fix - Actions which included datetime parameters and had action steps of UPDATE, INSERT or DELETE caused an application error at line 142 in function executeaction of object nv_action, this has been fixed 5. Sign On Passwords - Fixed - User Sign On passwords on SQL databases were not enforcing upper and lower case character matching, this has been fixed. 6. Case Bar - Case Templates - Fixed - Case templates were not being applied properly in build 0010, this has been fixed New Button - Clear Filter - A new button has been added to the case tab. Clear filter removes the dates from the contact filter fields and refreshes. 7. Action/Query parameters - Updated - A new column has been added for Action and query parameters called order_number, you can now specify the order that users will be propmted for parameters. 8. Custom Reports - Updated - A new button has been added to the modify DW window to allow you to delete a report from your local library. - A new Button has been added to the layout tab, Undo it undoes the last action. 9. Financial Rates - Updated - A new rate type has been added. The new rate type is called split contact. It divides the rate by the number of participants of a type (client or staff ) and applies that rate no matter what the duration. Here is a list of the all the rate types - Hourly - applies the rate to each participant multilpied by the duration on the contact. - Per Contact - applies the rate to each participant and ignores the duration. - Per participant - applies the rate to each participant multiplied by the number of participants and ignores the duration. - Split Hour - applies the rate divided by the number of participants of that type multiplied by the duration of the contact. - Split Contact - applies the rate divided by the number of participants of that type and ignores the duration of the contact. 10. View Menu - Updated - A new menu item has been added to the view menu - Contact Input form This is a new form for data entry of contacts or appointments 11. Maintenance Menu - Updated - Contract is now available under the maintenance menu as well as the accounting menu. 12. Relationship tab - Fixed - Security rights were not being properly assigned on the relationship tab. This has been fixed 13. Insert Todays Date Button - Updated - a speed key has been added to the insert todays button. Whenever you are in a datetime field you can hit Ctrl + t and it will insert todays date. 14. Edit text box - Updated - A message box now appears on save or close if the text you have input is longer than allowed by the field you are editing. 15. Receipts - updated -New user object and tab has been added to the receipt class to allow you to attach invoice entries to receipts in order to do aging. Custom Print Preview - Removed -Global.PreviewCustom( ReportName = 'CustomReportName' , Parm1 = ME ) did not work consistently and was very slow. It has been replaced The custom action step command Global.PreviewCustom() has been replaced with Global.Preview( ReportName = 'ReportName' , Parm1 = 'Parameter' ) This action step command only works on compiled reports. You can compile any custom report on the Report Layout tab by clicking on Save as Dw and saving the report to your local_library.pbl file. The command has been replaced by a message box telling the user to contact their model designer or Danic Technology Inc. If you are unsure if this change affects your organization please contact technical support and we will verify your model. 17. HTML Reports Design - Fixed The HTML reports design menu item did not work in Danic Tools only in Danic Developer Edition. This has been fixed 18. Security - Access Limits - Updated Only Complex access limits can now be applied to tabs. Access limits which are not based on a column in a datawindow can now be applied to tabs and data windows. You could only use access limits based on columns before. Please verify your access limit syntax. 19. Close windows - Updated The close window event is now canceled if a Rule or fact is missing. When closing a window custom rules and required facts are checked. If not all the data is present to satisfy a custom rule or a fact is missing , the window will not close. 20. Lingo Object - Updated The Term/Lingo and translation objects have been updated to apply to all windows, menus and controls. The Term object now searches on label text for a term and replaces a part of a label with a the lingo term. for example: The reports menu has a label Case Statistics report, if you had a term of Case and a lingo of Folder the reports menu would read Folder Statistics report. Lingo is used on a per machine basis and is set in the Danic.ini file. 21. Local Libray Variable- Updated The local libray can now be set in Danic Tools on the options menu instead of just in the ini file.
