Danic Tools
much more than a case management system
What
is "Danic Tools"?
Danic Tools has long been
a leading software package for health and human service agencies in Canada,
and more recently, the United States. The hallmark of Danic Tools is the ease
with which it can be configured and reconfigured to fit the particular and
changing needs of agencies without changing the source code, i.e. with little
or no vendor help. It is widely used by organizations in the fields of developmental
disabilities, family and child services, employee assistance programs, behavioral
health services, juvenile justice, substance abuse treatment, elder services
and more.
Over the past seven years, Danic Tools has grown from a "Case Management"
system to an "Agency Management" system. We've added billing, scheduling,
human resources management, facilities management, fund raising, job shop
management, and other functions common to human service agencies. We've built
a universal, state-of-the-art XML bridge to exchange data with whatever accounting,
payroll and other systems an agency may use.
The ability of Danic users
to themselves configure and change Danic Tools to meet their particular and
changing needs, and Danic's ability to meet the needs of all types of human
service agencies and to expand the functionality of Danic Tools so much is
traced to its object-oriented design. Danic Tools is founded on the elegantly-engineered
Human Services Meta-model. The singular Danic Case Administration Model (DCAM)
lies at the Meta-model's core.
The Danic Tools software
package is a fully customizable, 32-bit application. It is a person-centered,
object-relational, database management system (ORDMS) designed to support
affordable, integrated, enterprise systems expressly for health and human
service agencies. Danic is built to integrate easily with other applications
and databases in order to anchor comprehensive agency solutions.
