Danic Bridge
The Danic Bridge allows for the extraction and transfer of information between Danic Tools Version 2.2 and other software programs. Data is extracted and saved in XML format .The product can be configured to import/export information in one direction. The transfer of information appears “seamless” to the Basic User, who will simply have access to the most current information available. This product is designed for System Administrators who want to move data from another database application into Danic Tools or visa versa. An example might be an organization who uses a Human Resources database application and on a regular basis wants to update the “Staff” records in Danic Tools. The Danic Bridge can be configured to import specific data and at specific times. The product includes an “acceptance” form that will show the Administrator what data is new and ready for import. The Administrator can “accept” all of the import or only specific records that have all required data. The overall process works “behind the scenes” and does not require users to log off Danic Tools during the import or export process. The Danic Bridge extracts data from a database into a XML file of the following format <document> <object> <name>Smith, John 1234</name> <class>Person</class> <fact><name>EmergContact</name><value>Jane Smith</value></fact> <fact><name>EmergHomePhone</name><value>111234567</value></fact> <fact><name>EmergWorkPhone</name><value>1112345678</value></fact> <fact><name>EmployeeNumber</name><value>1234</value></fact> </object> </document> The second step is to import the XML file into your database. Danic Tools Version 2.2 has this import utility |
